Scott McCall
The primary protagonist of the TV show Teen Wolf and is portrayed by Tyler Posey.
Biography Scott was an average teenager when Alpha werewolf Peter Hale bit him.
Prior to becoming a werewolf, Scott lacked athletic skill and required a rescue inhaler to treat his asthma. The transformation into a werewolf turned him into a superb athlete and also seems to have cured his asthma.
Scott attends Beacon Hills High School in Beacon Hills, California, where he is captain of the lacrosse team and runs cross country.
His parents are divorced.
Scott lives with his mother Melissa McCall a nurse at the Beacon Hills Hospital. Scott's Dad is a field agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He recently returned to Beacon Hills.
Scott has an after school job at the Beacon Hills Animal Clinic as an assistant to his mentor Dr. Deaton.
Originally, Scott sees his new life as a werewolf as more of a curse than a gift. It interfered with his relationship with his first love Allison Argent. Later, he embraces his new abilities as a means to help people.
Scott is now dealing with the death of Allison and the ongoing struggle to protect the people he loves in the face of a seemingly endless stream of supernatural threats.
He is aided by his best friend Stiles Stilinski, friend (and Banshee) Lydia Martin, and fellow werewolf Derek Hale.

Stiles Stilinski
A student at Beacon Hills High School and the son of Beacon County's Sheriff Stilinski.
His mother, Claudia Stilinski, died 6 years ago. He was present when she passed and has never gotten over her death. For some unknown reason, Stiles blames himself.
He was a geeky but otherwise normal kid before a werewolf bit his best friend and threw his world into constant chaos.
Stiles is sarcastic, funny and outspoken. He is extremely clever and has led the way in working through many of the mysteries of the show.
He is a bit frustrated that the werewolf bite has cast him as Robin to Scott’s Batman but he is a solid friend and loyal to a fault.
For the longest time he held an intense but unrequited love for fellow classmate Lydia Martin. Their relationship has grown into a strong friendship.
While they have a typically combative parent/teenager relationship, Stiles loves his father very much and often worries about his safety.
Stiles relationship with Derek Hale is awkward and adversarial. Scenes featuring the two characters offer some of the show's funniest moments.
Stiles apparently lost his virginity during a brief stay at a mental institution (See Echo House) and has a growing relationship with werecoyote Malia Tate.

Lydia Martin
Developed quite a bit since she met Allison Argent, Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski.
She was, on the surface at least, shallow and spoiled but this turned out to be an elaborate act to hide the fact that she possesses a genius level IQ. She is well versed in chemistry and understands both classical and archaic Latin.
The ruse, along with her relationship with Jackson Whittemore, was part of a carefully orchestrated plan to maintain her popularity at Beacon Hills High.
Lydia was manipulative with her friends, using them whenever it suited her ambitions.
As the supernatural elements began to close in though, her carefully crafted facade began to fall apart. After being attacked at the winter formal, she found herself haunted by her attacker. She was later able to show her true love for Jackson and it was that love which saved his life.
Jackson's abrupt move to London, England seemed to leave Lydia emotionally numb. She returned to her "just on the surface" existence and took a number of lovers over the summer, expressing a "love them and leave them" philosophy.
When supernatural threats arose again, Lydia found herself drawn to gruesome murder scenes again and again. She learned she was a Banshee and decided to use her abilities for the greater good... if she can figure out how to actually use her abilities.
She fell in love again too. While she had entered into a purely physical relationship with Aiden to aid her friends in defeating the The Alpha Pack, she developed deeper feelings. She once again suffered genuine heartbreak when Aiden was killed.
Although her feelings may not be as strong for Stiles, they have developed a strong and caring friendship.

Allison Argent
An accomplished archer and gymnast.
Her family life was difficult. Before her death, Her mother was given to fits of rage. Her father was over protective while Allison had a bit of a rebellious streak.
She was friends with Lydia Martin, Jackson Whittemore and Stiles Stilinski. She was romantically involved with both Scott McCall and Isaac Lahey.
Allison died in Scott's arms after trying to save Lydia from a demon.

Derek Hale
Born into a family of werewolves. His mother, Talia, was much respected within the werewolf community meaning Derek came into contact with members of a number of other packs.
He and his family lived in Hale House in Beacon Hills, California and he attended Beacon Hills High School.
Peter Hale claims a 15-year-old Derek conspired with an Alpha (Ennis) to have Derek's girlfriend (Paige) bitten in hopes of turning her into a werewolf.
The process didn't take and, to end her suffering, Derek killed her.
Having taken an innocent life, his eyes changed from yellow to blue.
Sometime later, Derek entered into a relationship with werewolf hunter Kate Argent. She used him to gather information on his family making him an unwitting accomplice to the arson fire at Hale House that killed most of his family.
After his Uncle Peter killed the conspirators involved in the fire, Derek killed him and took the status of Alpha Werewolf.
In order to save the life of his sister Cora, long thought dead in the fire, Derek gave up the spark that made him an Alpha. His eyes turned from red back to blue.
Kate Argent somehow physically regressed Derek back to the age of 15. While restored to his proper outward appearance, he seems to have lost all of his werewolf traits and abilities.

Jackson Whittemore
Prior to the events of Wolf Moon, Jackson was the top athlete at Beacon Hills High School and was in a long term relationship with Lydia Martin.
He was born on June 15, 1995. His birthday is the day after his parents, Gordon and Margaret Miller, were killed in a car accident. His mother was apparently kept on life support long enough for doctors to deliver Jackson via c-section.
Jackson was then adopted by attorney David Whittemore and his wife. His father says his son hasn't said "I love you" since learning he was adopted and that the circumstances of his parentage cause the teen to labor under self-imposed unrealistic expectations.
Jackson is to get a large insurance settlement connected to his bio-parents's death when he turns 18.

Isaac Lahey
Lived with his father, Coach Lahey. His brother, Camden, was killed in combat in while serving in the US military.
Isaac's father was abusive, locking his son in an unplugged chest freezer in the basement for long stretches. The abuse led to Isaac developing claustrophobia.
Mr. Lahey ran the Beacon Hills Cemetery where Isaac also worked. After being trapped in grave by an overturned backhoe, Derek Hale rescued Isaac.
After a fight with his father the next night, Isaac sought out Derek and received the bite, becoming a werewolf.
After the death of his father at the hands of the Kanima, Isaac moved in with Derek.
Their relationship became strained after The Alpha Pack attempted to get Derek to kill the remaining members of his pack, including Isaac. In a misguided attempt to keep him safe - Derek threw Isaac out of his loft. Homeless, Isaac moved in with Scott McCall and his mother.
While attempting to defeat the Alpha Pack, Isaac began to develop an attraction to Allison Argent. Their relationship advanced in fits and starts, culminating in a single night together shortly before Allison's death.
Isaac left Beacon Hills with Allison's father, Chris Argent, and has not been seen since.
